GOST 8734-75 and GOST 8733-74
Curiously, on the websites of many dealers of the products of pipe-rolling companies, blatant misinformation is seen. Non-existent or irrelevant standards are mentioned in the lists of documents regulating production.
Here are a couple of examples.
- GOST 8733-87 for metal seamless pipes – an updated version of the standard number 8733-74. Almost immediately after adoption, the document was canceled and is currently not used.
- GOST 8734-78 for metal seamless pipes did not exist under any circumstances. Its number is a mixture of 8732-78, which contains an assortment of pipes with warm deformation, and the aforementioned 8734-75.
- Similarly, seamless metal pipes in accordance with GOST 8733-75 are a clear mixing of product compliance with standards 8733-74 (technical conditions) and 8734-75 (assortment).
- Seamless metal pipes in accordance with GOST 8732-75 also do not exist in nature. And this number is a clear distortion – 8732-78, containing an assortment of hot-deformed products.
- Finally, the seamless metal pipes mentioned on the website of a certain dealer in accordance with GOST 8734-87 are an absolutely amusing fake.
